Reflection blog

John Minto born in 1953 is a New Zealand-based political activist known for his involvement in various left-wing groups and causes, most notably Halt All Racist Tours. A 2005 documentary on New Zealand's Top 100 History Makers listed him as number 89. He was known for his movement to stop the Springbok tour in NZ and around the world he was assaulted many many times I was for the movement of the spring bock tour.

In English class, we watched Freedom writers, a film about troubled kids that haven't had the best education and who get a new teacher. We used the video for visual text, high angle low angle, and other stuff. The film was tragic and highly recommended.

pink shirt day is a celebration. Anti-Bullying Day is a day where people wear a pink tee to show their support for others who are bullied. It began in Canada and is now observed on a variety of dates all around the world. and Hornby high is hosting pink shirt day to stop the movement of bulling. plz, join us on our journey to stop bullying.

I think Bullying, should be avoided because I now have a better sense of myself. I believe that everybody should be treated fairly. By showing up and not being a bystander, the other person can be more at ease people will not give them the cold prickly's but the warm fuzzy's.

I was a young person your age when John Minto was 'strutting his stuff'. I would love to read your personal reflections on the man. I personally found him to be a kind man, a critical thinker, someone who who cares deeply about the rights of all people.
