Aim: To make a dilution series to investigate.

Method: To place 6 test tubes in a test tube rack 1-6
- Using the measuring cylinder, fill test tube 1 with 10 mL of water. Using the  5 remaining test tubes with 5 mL of water.
- Using tweezers, add a single crystal of potassium permanganate to a test tube.
- Gently shake the test tube to the potassium permanganate has dissolved.
- Rinse the transfer pipette thoroughly to the purple solution is gone
- Gently shake test tube 2 and repeat the process, transfer exactly 5 mL of the solution from test tube 2 to 3
- Rinse the transfer pipette thoroughly again and repeat the transfer process for test tube 4, 5 and 6.

first we added the solute which was the potassium pomegranate to a test tube with 10mL of water and waited for the potassium pomegranate  to devolve and by gently shaking the test tube it helps to dissolve potassium pomegranate faster. As the potassium pomegranate dissolved the solvent with is the potassium pomegranate changing the color of the water to purple. As we used the pipette to transfer the water to test tube to test tube the solution lost it color the water go dilute AKA weaker. Test tube number 1 was the most concentrated.
