for science we timed my partner 1 minute to eat crackers and me and my partner ate 8 crackers it was so hard to eat because it is dry.

What i now know

Matariki is the celebration of the maorie new year and the ones that died in that past and to remember the ones we love and to gather up family members to have fun and eat. Matariki is also the celebration of the 7 sisters and the cluster of the bright 7 stars and if you want to see the stars wake up around 3:00.

The next day I had been reading about more Matariki and why we celebrate it. ti was 2001 when we started to celebrate and tell the story about Matariki. mexico has the day of the dead, japan has the Brazil has Mardi Gras and so nz has Matariki.

The Student army is so important because they help the environment by picking up rubbish and helping us when the earthquakes hit NZ. Some of the army people would provide equipment, water and food because when the people's homes broke the people would have nothing left. some of the people wore cooking, Providing transport, food, providing money and  new homes.
