Disaster god research project

 Poseidon the god of the sea, storms, earthquakes, and horses and is considered to have a bad temper, moody and greedy. Poseidon was a brother of Zeus the god of gods the god of the sky god and chief of ancient Greece and Hades, the god of the underworld when the three brothers deposed their father the kingdom fell by a lot to Poseidon, his weapon and main symbol was the trident which was once a fish spear. 

Poseidon's story

 Poseidon drew the ocean and took control of the Sea Zeus drew the sky and Hades the Underworld. One of Poseidon's most famous deeds is the creation of the horse. There are two stories that tell how he did this. The first says that he fell in love with the goddess Demeter.

Gymnastics P.E 2020 Term 4

 during the last 3 weeks in P.E we have been learning and having some fun with gymnastic equipment and today I learnt how to do some super cool flips...

Business and enter prize studies (Market day)

During the last couple of months of business and enterprise studies, we have been learning about how to plan and run a business successfully during our journey to the market day we learned that you need to be passionate about your business. 

During the last couple of days leading up to the market, day times got stressful time was running out and we wore unorganized. 

(Strengths) What went well

- We sold all product 

- We made a profit 

-  We all communicated well

(Weaknesses) What didn't go so well 

- Half the team was missing on the day of the market day

- We lost out on the chip idea (no deep fryer)

- We wore unorganized

Next time I would try to be more organized and partisapet more than what I did 

during the last week of science when have been making wind racer during the first day of making the wind races, we had to make a plan and make a start on the sail the second day we added supports to the sail and make it thicker to hold the wind and to stop it from breaking when the wind hits it. when we tested the wind race it moved but not as much as I would like, at the end of the experiment out car moved half a meter.if i was to do this next time i would change the size off the sail.

Speeding Past School, SCI Test

METHOD, 

Measure out 50m

from start to finish push the time and stop it when they reach the end.

 When you have finished do 50 divided by the time  50= the distance... and what you got is the speed of the car... ms-1  

At the end of the experiment, we found the most cars on Carman road are going below the average speed limit because of the stoplight

When we did the activity I believe that we worked well all contributing and we came 4th place

.Copper Coin Experiment.

1. Clean coin in salt+vingear solution
2. Put 50mL of mLT+ NaOH into a beaker
3. Heat on a bunsen burner un till NEARLY boiling - Stir as heating the take off heat
4. Add a spatula of zinc power
5. Heat lightly or 3min, with a coin in - Stire as heating
6. Take a coin out with tongs
7. Rinse coin under water to remove chunks of zinc.
8. Wave coin in the blue flame using tongs.

Copper + Silver - Gold, Zinc Brass
Zinc + sodium hydroxide - Zinc hydroxide

Copper + Zinc

Once the coin was dropped into the sodium hydroxide and the zinc power it changed the color of the coin to the silver
When heated under the blue flame the color of the coin changed to gold.

END of term DTE refletion

DTE 2020

During the last 6 to 7  weeks, we have been learning to develop and code an app on code.org and use various other sites such as scratch, and game fruit to create an app.

My group consisted of

Term 1
During term 1 we started to learn to use block code. We had the option to make a game on game fruit or get a couple of credits for the scratch assessment. Halfway through the term 1, we got stuck with COVID and we wore forced to stay home. During my time in lockdown, I did less work and pled more games.

Term 2 
during the time out of lockdown, we learned how to use code.org to help us code and create an app. for the last couple of months, we made an alarm clock app contributing ideas and thoughts together to get our final outcome. But every failure and mistake we made we put in a doc and documented it...

During the 6 mounts of DTE, my take away is that I do wish to learn to code and do better but its a time-consuming process, and it not easy our team went through its ups and downs but with perseverance we made it...I enjoyed all parts of DTE there was no part I would change because every part was a good learning experience.

ACID RAIN

Rainfall made so acidic by the pollution that is caused by factories burning off harm full chemicals and when those chemicals are burnt of they mix in with the clouds wich mean hi leaves of hydrogen ions. acid rain can extremely harm full to the environment around it killing the tree, polluting the water, killing foods, and weakening buildings. acid rain forms when a chemical compound such as sulfur is released into the atmosphere and mix with the water and oxygen and then other chemicals form knowen as acid rain... Method
1. Set up a petri dish
* Add a few drops of water.
2. Add 1 spatula of sodium sulfide to weigh boat
3. Add 5 drops of sulfuric Acid and quickly put the lid on
4. watch and take photos

The apple skin changes color should change to a white color. 
The Leaves turn a white color because the nutrients have been sucked out.
The universal indicator changed a Green - Red.
Bromothymol blue changed Blue - Yellow.
Blue litmus paper changed - Red.
Calcium carbonate forms together.

for the last couple of weeks, we have been learning about creative writing and trying to get better at our vocab, reading, and writing, and ever time we have English we add to our word band and wright a couple of small stories this is what I have done.
