The moon landing

The moon landing is fake it would be technically impossible to land on the moon because the earth is flat there is a giant ice wall stopping us from flying off the earth and NASA is photoshopping all the photos making it fake and there a big dome stopping us from flying into space. Space is faked NASA thinks that by putting telescopes on the floor they think they finding planets but rely when they are just looking at lights on to of the dome. Weather is fake we have put sprinkles on top of the dome making it rain and clouds are floating bits of foam. to stop the ice wall from melting at night we put a freezer over the ice wall.

Sustainability

In social studies, we are learning about sustainability and how it is infecting us and how it impacts the environment.
.Sustainability.
Learning objective
The way people manage resources has an impact on the environment and social sustainability

.Instructions.
In this unit we will be learning about how people perceive, repressive represent, interpret, and impact with places and environments you will learn more about the relationships between people and the environment.

.Impacts
.Social

.Natural Resources.
Are provided by the Earth and we can use them to support human life. Things like water, Trees, soil and iol are all natural resources.

.Man made Resources.
Are things made by people and not provided by the Earth and some things are clothes foods such as cakes and stuff and houses…

Air pollution
Polluted water
Burning tyres
  1. Plastic, bags, drink bottles are getting in to our ocean water and is killing our marine life and it is also killing us because of microplastics is the breakdown of plastic and it gets into our waterways and when we drink the water it fills our lungs up with micro plastics.

  1. Air pollution- Cars,Factories are producing bad gases and they are getting into the atmosphere and breaking it down into nothing and making it higher to get cancer and it's gonna make it harder to breath

  1. We are using to many of our nature resauses.
  2. Humans
  3. Planting more trees and recycling old phones and paper
  4. We need to pick up rubbish, plant more trees and recycle instead of littering.
  5. Do later

B. We as a community are causing so many problems and one day it will come to the point where life is not suitable for us to live here we are cutting down to many trees  making less oxygen for us and killing too much of our marine life making a shortage of sea food and we are slowly running out of food by cutting down trees and killing our animals it making a shortage of food. We are running out of our natural resources by cutting down trees and air pollution is becoming a big problem because of factories.  But we as a community can also stop what we have started by planting trees and cleaning up the ocean/ picking up rubbish, and recycling and putting rubbish in the bin...

Acid Rain

Acid rain forms when a chemical compound like sulfur oxide and nitrogen oxide has been released into the air. these chemicals can reach a very high point mixing in with the water vapor and as they go up it forms into a chemical cloud and as the water/ chemical vapor builds up the cloud becomes denser making the water heaver forming rain/ acid drop's when they become rain/ acid drops it rain down on to the plant, lakes, rivers, and building below making the plants dry/ hard the foods like apples and stuff become dryer and harder than before and making the buildings crust and easy to break and as the acid rain gets in to our waterways it kills our fish and making the water unsafe to swim in.

on the 17th of oct, we did an experiment involving acid we put an apple, a baby flower peddles, calcium carbonate, universal indicator, bromothymol blue all on the outside of the petry dish when we put them all in with the acid the

3D printing part 1 of 3

For the last 6 weeks in engineering, we wore learning to learn about an engineering design process and what it means soon after we wore to have an idea on what we wore going to make and whats its purpose is and how it will help people...

the design process consists of

Ask
Identify the needs and constraints
Research
The problem
Imagine
Develop, possible, and solution
plan
select a promising solution
Create
Build a prototype
Test
And evaluate prototype
Improve
Redesign as needed

hunt for the wilder people

For the last 6 weeks, we have watched an original film called hunt for the wilder people and went into depth with the camera angles and lighting as the film was playing we wrote down certain things that were important in that chapter like Lighting, clothing and camera angles. After we watched the film hunt for the wilder people we wrote down the chapters of choice and wrote it down on our essay plan. after that, we made a start on the essay... and my essay is about Ricky and Bellas relationship.

Eye blog post

How light travels from your eye through to your brain...

The Cornea is the front part of the eye its refracts light as it enters the eye...
The Pupil is the centre of your eye and it lets light in...
The Iris is the coloured part of your eye Lets a certain amount of light in...
The lens has 2 sides and focuses light to your retina...
The retina has a layer of cells at the back of the eye and collects light from an image...
The optic nerve is a bundle of flexible nerves connected to a bunch of nerves that are connected to the brain...

How the light gets to your brain...
Light enters the eye through the cornea the clear dome-shaped that covers the front of the eye from the cornea the light travels through to the pupil lets the light pass through and its the centre of your eye from there the light hits the lens the transparent ball inside the eye with focuses light on to the retina from the retina it goes to the optic nerve and from there it goes to the brain...

coding on sphere edu plans and coding for sphero (stuck in the mud)

For the last 3 weeks, we started to look at making our own codes on sphere edu and making a fully functional game that we could play... First we started off by looking at the community's projects and getting a rough idea on what we could and how we could change it... After we started to brainstorm on what we could change and we could make it better to make it a successful and fun game for the community to play...

AIM
To observe convection in a liquid.

Method
- set up a bunsen burner on a heatproof mat. Put the gauze mat on the tripod but leave it just to one side the bunsen burner...
-fill a 200mL beaker with 150mL of cold water
-Place the beaker on top of the tripod and gauze mat and allow it to settle for a few min...
-carefully insert a drinking straw down one side of the beaker, ensuring the straw is touching the bottom of the beaker. Be careful as you lift the straw out of the beaker...
-Using tweezers drop a crystal of potassium permanganate down the inside of the straw. Wait for the crystal to settle on the bottom of the beaker.
-Very gently, so to not disturb the water, remove the straw...
- Light the bunsen burner and slid in under the tripod so that you are heating the outside of the beaker where the crystal is... then watch.

as the beaker heated the potassium permanganate started to spread more after a couple of seconds the collar purple filled the beaker...

the hot water rises because of it less dense and because the hot water is less dense it allows the potassium permanganate could rise and spread around the beaker...

Aim
Ro observes conduction along a metal rod.

Method

1. set up and light a bunsen burner
2. smear a small amount of petroleum jelly on to the head of each drawing pin.
3. attach the drawing pins at even intervals along the length of the metal rod.
4. Clamp one end of the metal rod to a retort stand.
5. position the retort stand so the unclamped end of the metal rod is in the bunsen burner flame and start the stopwatch.
6. Record the time it takes for each pin to drop on the table below...

Resalts
pin 1. 12 sec
pin 2. 27 sec
pin 3. 50 sec
pin 4. 1min 49 sec

Explanation
As the mettle rod heated the particles started vibrating more because of the extream heat and that made the heat transfer from 1 place to another causing the pins to drop off.

the sinking of the Titanic

Belfast UK 31st of March 1909 the Titanic was under construction it took 2 years to make this 269-meter long ship and took 3000 men to build the Titanic in 2 years. May 31st 1911 it was the day the Titanic was finished and it was the first day the Titanic launched and had 3,547 passengers.

This is the link to all of the places the Titanic stopped at...

1912 15th of April the day the Titanic hit the iceberg the Titanic was trying to make a compleat turn to miss the iceberg but didn't have enough time to, the Titanic hit the side of the iceberg and making a hole on the side of the Titanic.

After the Titanic collided with the iceberg people moved to the deck of the Titanic to get into the lifeboats but there wore not enough lifeboats to fit everybody. There wore 20 lifeboats and 3,547 passengers and only 706 passengers that survived the sinking of the Titanic.

It took 2 hours to sink this 269-meter longship 1,500 people wore killed due to the sinking of the Titanic the people that survived they wore put on a trial and many people mentioned that there was a fire but the judge…

AIM, To observe contraction in the gases...

METHOD,
1. Set up the bunsen burner underneath a tripod and gauze mat...
2. Pour approximately 50-60 mL of water into your can. It should be no more than 1/4...
3. Heat the can of water until steam is seen escaping from the top... Carefully grip the can with the scissor tongs. Ensure you have a firm hold of the can before lifting it off the glaze mat...
5. Quick;y, but very carefully, invert the can as you plunge it into a container of water...

Observation, We use a clean can full 1/4 full of water and we heated the water until it started to steam from the top of the can and using scissor tongs we picked up the can and fastly dipped the tip of the can into the cold water and the can implode because of the sudden change of temp...

The can implodes because when the can is plunged into cold water, the water vapour condenses leaving the pressure inside the can much less than the outside.  As the water boils the molecules bouncing off the inside of the can creating a force pressing outwards. The pressure of the atmosphere pressing inwards.

Investigating state canges

Aim. To observe water as it changes from a solid to liquid an then to a gas...

Method
1. Collect enough ice so that your beaker, is half full and place the thermometer into it while you set up the rest of the equipment...

2. set up the retort stand and clamp alongside the tripod and gauze mat...

3. Place the beaker of ice on the gauze mat and gently clamp the thermometer so that it is held upright and the scale is easy to see. The bottom of your thermometer should be low enough to still be covered by water when the ice, melts, but not touching the bottom of the beaker...

4. Record the initial temperature of ice in the data table below...

5. Light the bunsen burner and start timing with the stopwatch...

6. Measure and record the temperature every minute...

7. Continue measuring and recording the temperature until the water has been boiling for 2-3 munites...

diffusion is when particles move from high concentration to low concentration... When we used hot water the process was faster...

Making an aluminium ID tag

Making an aluminium ID tag: Start off by measuring 40mm using a ruler & place the engineer square where the 40mm mark was and using a scriber you can make a straight line by pulling the scriber towards you and repeat the proses 2x. By using a hand saw you can cut the aluminium by pulling the hand saw away and towards you... After you cut the aluminium get some soft jaws so you do make vice lines in your cut piece of aluminium. And file off the wast line as straight as you can, using a file down both sides until you reach the 35mm mark and after you have filed your peace of aluminium using the vernier calliper you can measure your peace of aluminium accurately measure your piece of aluminium. After you have measured your piece of aluminium put engineering blue on the pice of aluminium using an old cloth... Let the engineering blue dry on the peace  of aluminium and sand the other side with emery cloth (rap the emery cloth around a file and move your arms side to side shoulder with apart) After that we grabbed a ruler and measured the length the hight and length of your piece of aluminium and measure 30mm down and using a drill a hole in the centre up the top fo your aluminium and make a hole using the drill and replace the drill for a countersink and countersink you peace of aluminium your aluminium should look like this
After this we stamped letters and numbers onto our piece of aluminium and using emery cloth we made it shiny and after used use a buffing weal to make it shiny and after that, we polished it with grey stuff...

Finished product

For the first 10 min of English, we got free time and I went on pixel art because it something that fun for me and I get me thinking also share my creativity and this is what I made...

This failed but I will fix it...

Aim: To make a dilution series to investigate.

Method: To place 6 test tubes in a test tube rack 1-6
- Using the measuring cylinder, fill test tube 1 with 10 mL of water. Using the  5 remaining test tubes with 5 mL of water.
- Using tweezers, add a single crystal of potassium permanganate to a test tube.
- Gently shake the test tube to the potassium permanganate has dissolved.
- Rinse the transfer pipette thoroughly to the purple solution is gone
- Gently shake test tube 2 and repeat the process, transfer exactly 5 mL of the solution from test tube 2 to 3
- Rinse the transfer pipette thoroughly again and repeat the transfer process for test tube 4, 5 and 6.

first we added the solute which was the potassium pomegranate to a test tube with 10mL of water and waited for the potassium pomegranate  to devolve and by gently shaking the test tube it helps to dissolve potassium pomegranate faster. As the potassium pomegranate dissolved the solvent with is the potassium pomegranate changing the color of the water to purple. As we used the pipette to transfer the water to test tube to test tube the solution lost it color the water go dilute AKA weaker. Test tube number 1 was the most concentrated.
